Best Keto Cookbooks Review – Top 6 Ketogenic Recipe Books in 2018

I LOVE Ketogenic Cookbooks. How much do I love them?

Well I have written a few myself, so I know just how hard they are to make.

Experimenting with flavours, coming something that hasn’t been seen and putting together pictures in a nice package is actually a lot more work than it seems. That is why I decided to put my own cookbooks on the back-burner (pun intended) for a while…

But just because I don’t write any myself, doesn’t mean that I don’t use them myself! That’s why I wanted to share with you the ones that I like the most!

Why Buy Ketosis Cookbooks?

The Ketogenic Diet is a difficult diet to do when you are first starting out. Going from carb rich meals like pasta and pad Thai to low carb meals can be a real challenge.

That is why having a great Keto cookbook can be super useful.

Instead of trying to figure out if different ingredients are “keto safe” – it’s good to have a resource of recipes to ensure that what you are eating is actually Ketogenic and not just low carb.

But Ketogenic recipes are everywhere you look on the internet. It’s on Pinterest, it’s on mobile apps, heck they are even on my website.

So why would want to buy one?

Simply put it is nice to have all the recipes curated all in one spot. Instead of going from website to website trying to find good recipes (and let’s face it, some of them can be horrible!) – with a good Ketogenic cookbook you are buying the creativity and taste of an author.

What Should You Look For When Buying Ketogenic Cookbooks?

Let’s face it, not all Ketogenic books are created the same. That’s why when deciding which Keto cookbook to buy, there are three things you should think about before hitting that buy button:

1: Look for credible authors

When deciding which Keto cookbook to buy, it is usually better to go with a well-known author than someone you never heard of.

And this is coming from someone who is NOT a well-known author.

Why is that?

While there are some great lesser known cookbook writers, there is a lot of crap out there. So it is a safer bet to stick with authors that are better known. These are people with big websites, Youtube videos or have a large Instagram following.

2: How many recipes are there?

While bigger isn’t always better, I like my Ketogenic cookbooks like I like my avocado’s – nice and big!

So when I am looking, I always like to get Keto recipe books with lots of recipes inside. This gives you more options so that you have the opportunity to find recipes that you’ll like.

What this means is that you tend to get more recipes with e-books as opposed to physical books. Keto cookbooks with high quality photos usually cost quite a bit more if you buy the physical copy, but with e-books they are quite a bit cheaper.

3: Are there any extras?

I love Amazon, but there are many other online retailers out there that offer authors more flexibility – especially when it comes to e-books.

That is why I don’t always buy Ketosis cookbooks directly from there. Sometimes if you look hard enough, you will find that authors give bonuses if you buy directly from them.

These bonuses range anywhere from meal plans, to additional books and coupons. So I always look to buy from authors first before resorting to Amazon.
